Sh2-86

Sh2-86 is a part of the Sharpless catalog and is located in the constellation Vulpecula. That cluster of stars around the heart of the nebula is a small star-forming region called NGC 6823. This emission nebula is pretty faint, especially in my light-polluted skies which required pushing the 32ish hrs of data pretty hard. It came out pretty good, but I wish I could have brought out more color. I may take a 3rd run at it later. I don’t think this is a very common target to go after, but it’s still pretty unique with the finger-like clouds of dust reaching out.
