The California Nebula (NGC 1499)

NGC 1499 is long emission nebula in the constellation Perseus. It’s often called the California Nebula due to it’s general shape being similar to the US state. I originally wanted to do this as a mosaic, but due to weather and work travel I was only able to spend enough time creating this bi-color, HOO version. I plan to return to this target again to complete the mosaic for all three filters.
