The Wizard Nebula (NGC 7380)

The Wizard Nebula (NGC 7380) is a cool wizard-shaped nebula wrapped around a star cluster in the constellation Cepheus. It’s estimated to be ~7,000 ly from us and visually is a challenging one to see unless you are in a very dark sky.
This image was made with 29hrs 45mins of data (10.6hrs of Ha, 13.9 hrs of Oiii, and 5.25hrs of Sii) and mapped to the SHO (Hubble palette) in narrowband. It is by far my largest project to-date of 2020. I’ve also included a starless version thanks to StarNet within PixInsight.
